
Here is an other peculiarity of the Aitre Saint-Maclou : you can see behind a little window in the façade a cat who has been momified (I am not sure of the word in english....). During the 16th century, people used to immure a back cat alive in the wall to move away the Devil. Here was the case when the buiding of Aitre Saint-Maclou was built between 1528 and 1533.
