Gustave Flaubert

Place des Carmes, une statue de Gustave Flaubert, l'auteur du célèbre roman "Madame Bovary". Gustave Flaubert est né à Rouen et a vécut à Rouen. Son père fut un célèbre chirurgien rouennais.

On "Carmes Place", you can see the statue of Gustave Flaubert, the writer of the famous book "Mrs Bovary". Flaubert was born in Rouen and live in Rouen. His father was a famous surgeon in Rouen.

Cynthia : If my memory is well, i remenber that the story of Emma Bovary was written from a new in brief. Flaubert wrote this book during five years and he had a lawsuite about it by religion because of adultery in the story, immorality ! Flaubert was acquitted and his book was a succes!
