Cette fontaine a été construite en 1733. Elle remplace la Fontaine du Massacre dont les ornements représentaient la Vierge et les évêques de Rouen. Celle-ci célèbre les amours du Dieu Alphée et de la nymphe Aréthuse.This fountain was built in 1733. Before, there was an other fountain with sculptures of the Virgo and bishops of Rouen. This fountain has others sculptures which represent love between Alphée God and Aréthuse.
