La Maison Marrou, rue Verte, près de la gare de Rouen est une petite merveille de bois sculpté et de ferronerie d'art, conçue et réalisée par le ferronnier Ferdinand Marrou au XIXe siècle. Ce ferronnier réalisa les clochetons de la cathédrale de Rouen, mais aussi le baptistère de celle-ci. Il oeuvra aussi au Palais de Justice... Lorsqu'il fit construire cette maison, la sienne, il fit appel à plusieurs autres artisans d'art pour orner celle-ci, dans le but de faire sa publicité. Son magasin et atelier étaient rue Saint-Romain, à l'endroit même où aujourd'hui se trouve le Salon de thé "Dame cake" dont j'avais fait une photo le mois dernier sur ce blog.
